Michael Rüdiger, chairman of BlackRock Asset Management Switzerland, has resigned, Citywire reports. Rüdiger, who served as chairman since February 1, 2023, left his post at the end of last year.
He was replaced by longtime BlackRock employee Barry O’Dwyer.
BlackRock told Citywire Switzerland that Rüdiger “will remain an important part of BlackRock in the region as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland.” He has held this position since July 2020, when he replaced politician Friedrich Merz, who is a member of the German CDU party.
