The decline comes after the AI chip maker briefly overtook Microsoft as the most valuable public company on Tuesday. Sarepta Therapeutics – Shares of the biopharmaceutical company rose 37% after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted expanded use approval for Sarepta Elevidys’ gene therapy to treat patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The therapy has traditionally been approved for all patients aged 4 years and older who are able to walk, with accelerated approval for those who cannot walk. Nike – The sportswear maker rose 1% after an increase in Oppenheimer, beating the market. The firm also reinstated Nike as its market cap leader, saying the stock will gradually recover as the company refocuses on product innovation and brand building. Asana — Shares jumped more than 3% after the software company announced a $150 million stock buyback plan. The Company expects its share repurchase program to continue through June 30, 2025. Gilead Sciences – Pharmaceutical stocks rose more than 2.6%, building on an 8.5% gain from the previous session. Gilead announced Thursday that its HIV prevention vaccine was successful in a late-stage trial. LendingTree – Shares in the online lending market fell slightly after Bloomberg reported that hackers are now auctioning off stolen data from the site. LendingTree was the victim of a cyberattack on cloud computing company Snowflake. Apple — The iPhone maker’s shares rose after Bernstein’s stock price rose. Analyst Toni Sacconaghi says the more optimistic outlook stems from his view that Apple could be a leader in the artificial intelligence boom rather than a laggard.
