SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Singapore Airlines (OTC:) shares fell more than 1% in early trading on Thursday after a deadly flight hit by turbulence.
One passenger died of a suspected heart attack and dozens were injured after Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 encountered what the airline called sudden, severe turbulence while flying over Myanmar on Tuesday.
Singapore markets were closed for a holiday on Wednesday and resumed trading on Thursday. The stock’s early turnover has been modest, last falling 1.3% to S$6.67 ($4.94) after falling 1.8% to S$6.64.
