Investing.com – Saudi Arabia’s stock market fell after the close on Sunday as losses in the Saudi Arabian sectors sent shares lower.
At the close of trading in Saudi Arabia, quotes lost 0.19% and reached a new monthly low.
Top gainers of the session were Thimar Development Holding Co (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.89% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.44 at the close. Saudi Steel Pipe Company (TADAWUL:) rose 5.12%, or 4.20 points, to close at 86.20, while Arabian Pipes Company (TADAWUL:) rose 5.06%, or 4.20 points. 8.80 points, and ended trading at 182.60.
The worst performers of the session were CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:), which fell 9.91% or 3.90 points to trade at 35.45 at the close. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:) fell 7.96%, or 2.65 points, to end at 30.65. Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:) shares were down 7.23%, or 2.50 points, at 32.10.
Declining shares outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange by 206 to 84, with 18 ending unchanged.
Oil for June delivery rose 0.11%, or 0.09, to $83.66 a barrel. In commodities, Brent crude for July delivery rose 0.42%, or 0.37, to $88.21 a barrel, while June gold futures rose 0.30%, or 7.10. and traded at $2,349.60 per troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.31% at 4.01, while USD/SAR was unchanged 0.00% at 3.75.
US Dollar Index futures rose 0.48% to 105.96.
