A new project called Hemi Network, founded by early Bitcoin developer Jeff Garzik, is working to connect Bitcoin and Ethereum using a unique tunneling technology. Unlike cross-chain bridges, which are known for security vulnerabilities, tunneling creates a safer link between the two major blockchains. According to Hemi’s co-founder Max Sanchez, this tunneling method allows Bitcoin and Ethereum to coexist securely by leveraging Bitcoin’s full security. This approach could enable users to move Bitcoin assets into Ethereum for tokenization, offering new opportunities for cross-chain applications. Hemi recently raised $15 million in funding, led by Binance Labs and other investors.
