SINGAPORE (Reuters) – U.S. Commerce Minister Gina Raimondo said on Thursday that private equity firms KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and the newly launched Indo-Pacific Partnership for Prosperity are forming a coalition to invest $25 billion in the region’s infrastructure.
Raimondo, speaking in Singapore, said investments will include green data centers in Indonesia, renewable energy in the Philippines, and smart meters and hybrid renewable energy in India.
