Investing.com – Japan equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in indices and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session were Keyens (TYO:) rose 7.79% or 5,030.00 points to trade at 69,670.00 at the close. Meanwhile, CyberAgent Inc. (TYO:) added 5.38% or 52.50 points, finishing at 1,026.50 and T&D Holdings, Inc. (TYO:) was up 5.35%, or 129.50 points, at 2545.00 in late trade.
The worst performance of the session was JTEKT company. (TYO:) fell 9.16% or 127.00 points to trade at 1258.50 at the close. Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. (TYO:) fell 6.37% or 402.00 points to close at 5,901.00 NTN company. (TYO:) was down 2.88%, or 9.10 points, at 305.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by a 0-to-0 ratio.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, fell 2.98% to 20.82.
Oil for June delivery fell 0.82%, or 0.69, to $83.16 a barrel. In commodities, Brent crude for July delivery fell 0.80%, or 0.71, to $87.50 a barrel, while the June gold futures contract fell 0.23%, or 5.45. , and traded at $2341.75 per troy ounce.
USD/JPY was down 0.70% at 157.22 and EUR/JPY was down 0.26% at 168.55.
US Dollar Index futures fell 0.16% to 105.64.
