Investing.com – Japan equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in indices and sectors led shares higher.
At the close of trading in Tokyo, the price increased by 0.15% and reached a new all-time high.
Top gainers of the session were Sharp Corp (TYO:), which rose 5.31% or 44.60 points to trade at 884.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Suzuki Motor Corp. (TYO:) added 3.74% or 246.00 points, ending trading at 6,828.00 and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (TYO:) was up 3.47%, or 21.60 points, at 643.20 in late trade.

USD/JPY fell 0.12% to 151.43 and EUR/JPY fell 0.37% to 164.05.
US Dollar Index futures rose 0.22% to 103.89.
