Top gainers of the session were Munich Reinsurance (ETR:), which rose 1.88% or 8.40 points to trade at 454.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Merck KGaA (ETR:) added 1.72%, or 2.85 points, to end at 168.70. Siemens Helsiners AG (ETR:) was up 1.57%, or 0.84 points, at 54.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens AG Class N (ETR:), which fell 6.77% or 12.70 points to trade at 175.00 at the close. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) shares fell 6.26%, or 6.44 points, to end at 96.46. Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) shares were down 5.29%, or 2.18 points, at 39.02.
Top gainers on the MDAX were Stroeer SE (ETR:), which rose 4.91% to 65.20. Talanx AG NA ON (ETR:) shares rose 4.34% to close at 72.05. Delivery Hero AG (ETR:), up 3.60% to close at 32.22.
The worst performers were Freenet AG NA (ETR:) shares were down 3.76% at 23.02 in late trading. Nordex SE ON (ETR:), which lost 2.80%, settled at 14.56, and Evonik Industries AG (ETR:), which was down 2.27% to close at 20.24.
The top gainers on TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA ON (ETR:), which rose 3.88% to 53.60. Morphosis AG ON (ETR:) rose 1.62% to close at 69.05 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) rose 1.57% to close at 54.32.

The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO ON (ETR:), which fell 5.22% to 277.60 in late trading, Freenet AG NA (ETR:), which lost 3.76% to settle at 23.02, and Nordex SE ON (ETR:), which lost 2.80. % to 14.56 at closing.
Declining shares outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 313 to 311, with 29 ending unchanged.

The index measuring the implied volatility of DAX options fell 1.48% to 13.99.
June gold futures fell 0.42%, or 9.95, to $2,384.95 a troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil prices for June delivery rose 0.84%, or 0.66, to $79.29 a barrel, while the July Brent contract rose 0.58%, or 0.48, to $83.23 per barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% at 1.09 and EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.02% at 0.86.
US Dollar Index futures rose 0.13% to 104.35.
