Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Friday as sector and sector losses dragged shares lower.
At the close in Paris, losses amounted to 0.26%, and the index fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session were Carrefour SA (EPA:), which rose 1.73% or 0.28 points to trade at 16.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Credit Agricole SA (EPA:) added 0.22 points (1.38%), finishing at 15.84, while Compagnie Generale des Etablissements. Michelin SCA (EPA:) was up 1.17%, or 0.43 points, at 37.30 in late trade.
The worst performance of the session was TV performance SE (EPA:), which fell 2.78% or 3.05 points, closed at 106.60. Kering SA (EPA:) fell 2.70%, or 9.20 points, to close at 332.05. Legrand SA (EPA:) shares were down 2.32%, or 2.40 points, at 101.10.
The top gainers on the SBF 120 index were Clariane SE (EPA:), which rose 10.02% to 3.60. Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) rose 5.45% to close at 21.29 and Sodexo SA (EPA:) rose 3.19% to close at 85.80.
The worst performers were SCOR SE (EPA:), which fell 6.09% to 30.22 in late trading, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:), which lost 4.33% to settle at 2.16, and Sartorius . Steadying Biotech SA (EPA:) shares were down 4.33% at 196.80 at the close.
Declining shares outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 257 to 236, with 109 ending unchanged.
Credit Agricole SA (EPA:) shares rise to 5-year high; to 1.38% or from 0.22 to 15.84.

The index, which measures implied volatility in CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% at 18.96, a new 52-week high.
June gold futures rose 1.27%, or 30.35, to $2,415.85 a troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil prices for June delivery rose 0.47%, or 0.37, to $79.60 a barrel, while the July Brent contract rose 0.42%, or 0.37. 0.35, to $83.62 per barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% at 1.09 and EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.23% at 0.86.
US Dollar Index futures were down 0.00% at 104.34.
