Changpeng Zhao, Binance’s former CEO, addressed news on his involvement with AI agent tokens. There were claims that he might back these tokens, but Zhao took to X to clarify. He said he’s not pushing any specific AI agent project.
Instead, he’s more interested in what AI agents could do on the blockchain. He stressed that real-world uses and long-term growth are key.
Zhao’s comments came after users suggested his earlier posts seemed to support AI agent-themed tokens.
Zhao’s statements arrive as blockchain tech is being tested for new things, like AI agents. He mentioned that development progress usually follows the initial hype. This suggests he thinks real AI advancements will show up over time.
BNB Chain’s AI Tutorial Teaser
On February 16, 2025, Zhao dropped a hint about a tutorial video from the BNB Chain team. This video will walk users through making AI agents. He even shared a screenshot from DeFiLlama, a popular crypto platform, in his post.
Switching gears to memecoins, Zhao also talked about the recent explosion of these coins, especially the Broccoli memecoin. Broccoli blew up in early February 2025, getting attention after Zhao mentioned his dog’s name on X.
Despite all this, Zhao reiterated he’s not planning to launch any memecoin himself. He’s leaving that up to the community.

While AI agent tokens have bounced back a bit, some older AI projects might find it tough to reach their previous highs.
