GAM intends to appoint fellow asset manager Liontrust Investment Partners as delegated investment manager of the GAM Star Alpha Technology fund.
The changes will take effect around May 6, GAM said in a letter to shareholders. It said the appointment will not impact the fund’s day-to-day management, strategy or expenses.
The fund is managed by GAM’s head of global investments, Mark Hawtin. Hawtin had already agreed to join Liontrust in May, along with fellow GAM global equity fund managers David Goodman, Kevin Kruczynski and Pieran Marou.
